A line is not a zone
Why single-pixel horizontals fail on noisy charts — and how to choose width you can defend.
A line implies price must respect an exact number. Most instruments do not. Clustered wicks and slightly different closes still count as the same reaction area — if you allow width.
In our mapping labs we ask participants to name their anchors before they draw. Open, close, or wick tip? Once the rule is written, the zone width stops being a mood and becomes a method.
Try this: on your working timeframe, mark three reactions using only closes. Then remake the same area using wick clusters. Compare which map survives the next twenty bars without constant redrawing.
